Senior Fire Installation Technician - Kastle Systems : Job Details

Mutual Security., a subsidiary of Kastle Systems International is seeking a Fire Service Technician. This position conducts installation, testing, and fire alarm servicing for customers in and around New York City.

• Conducts installation, testing, and fire alarm service
• Manages and schedules personnel
• Specifies installation needs to customer to meet codes
• Works with power tools.
• Interfaces with customers as necessary to install and test equipment.

• OSHA 10 certification and OSHA 30 required
• 1-5 years of experience in all aspects of installation and service
• NICET Level 1 Certification preferred
• Knowledge of Vigilant Fire Systems preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of NYC fire codes
• Knowledge of CAD systems and ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of EST preferred
• Basic knowledge of AC and DC theory
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use metering devices
• Troubleshoot field devices and circuits
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed and materials used
• Low voltage wiring, EMT/Rigid Pipe-Work
• Perform required inspections of Fire Alarm Systems
• S98 preferred

• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Climb Stairs and ladders while carrying weight
• Use color vision to distinguish colored wires, signals, other lighting devices,
• Use and manipulate hand tools, small power tools, communication and diagnostic devices

• Open floor plans with ambient noise and activity consistent with office or call center work
• Active constructive sites often without HVAC
• Confined spaces (closets, basements, etc.)
• The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, tools and vehicles

Pay range in New York:

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education.

Base Range: $26.96/hr-$30.00/hr
