We're partnering with a well-established company in the retail and services industry that is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their high-impact Finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting strategic decisions through financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cross-functional analysis. - Financial Reporting & Variance Analysis: Review and interpret monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results. Investigate complex variances and present findings in executive-ready formats. Mentor junior analysts in financial reporting processes.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Own planning and forecasting cycles, guiding assumptions and collaborating across departments. Ensure accuracy and alignment with company performance goals.
- Capital & Operating Budgets: Lead the preparation and management of department-level budgets, partner with operations and leadership to ensure clarity and compliance with company guidelines.
- Ad Hoc & Scenario Analysis: Deliver ROI, NPV, IRR, and cost-benefit analyses for strategic initiatives. Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership to guide investment decisions.
- Industry & Business Insights: Stay current on macroeconomic and industry trends, integrating insights into financial forecasts and strategic planning efforts.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial modeling, and reporting
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Suite, and financial systems like Oracle EPM or similar
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Thoughtspot) a plus
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly, especially to executive stakeholders
- Strong business acumen and analytical problem-solving skills
- Team-first mentality with the ability to lead and mentor peers
