Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

*This position is 100% onsite.

Summary

Serve as finance business partner to the various departments of our organization. A successful analyst must be customer service oriented, systems savvy, possess strong communication/relationship skills, and able to work collaboratively as part of the team as well as independently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the month end reporting and analysis process, including the preparation and review of profit and loss statements and KPIs to ensure overall accuracy of the reports.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis of actual to budget and/or forecast results for monthly deliverables to senior management.
  • Ensure costs are properly captured and reported.
  • Apply strong analytical skills to understand the root cause of variances.
  • Develop budgets and forecasts, including monthly/quarterly forecasts, mid-year forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Prepare and design ancillary business/financial models and other special projects as needed.
  • Understand internal legacy computer systems to retrieve historical data, including downloads into Excel or other applications.
  • Ensure financial processes and reports meet corporate and industry guidelines.
  • Analyze monthly department spending and communicate trends with senior management.
  • Work with department heads to manage spending, identify problem areas, and support financial aspects of new projects.
  • Build and manage relationships with corporate department heads.
  • Collaborate and suggest improvements in Key Performance Indicators to drive decisions and processes.
  • Create internal management reports for financial results and prepare commentaries for senior management.
  • Prepare monthly reports and variance analyses, participate in financial planning and forecasting, and prepare ad-hoc analyses.
  • Support the implementation of financial reporting and planning systems.
  • Assist in drafting SEC reports, prepare cash flow statements, and other financial reports and presentations.
  • Develop procedures and materials for quarterly forecasts.
  • Continuously improve and automate processes for better decision-making.
  • Seek process improvements and drive them to completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

To perform successfully, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of experience in financial analysis or corporate finance, preferably in oil & gas or manufacturing.
Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling. Exceptional analytical skills required.

Communication Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to build relationships within and outside the organization.

Language Skills

Ability to interpret business and technical documents, and present information effectively.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Reasoning Ability

Problem-solving skills, ability to work with incomplete data, and analyze large data sets.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with financial systems and BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

None required, but a valid Driver License is required.

Physical Demands
