Our client is a fast-growing, private equity–backed physician practice management company supporting a network of over 50 providers and 150 support staff. Their mission is to improve healthcare delivery through operational excellence, financial discipline, and patient-centered care. This role will be fully in person during training and then will transition to hybrid schedule.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a sharp, analytical Senior Business & Financial Analyst or Manager to join their finance team. This role will play a key part in driving financial visibility and operational performance through data-driven insights, accounting support, and business reporting. You'll work closely with leadership to evaluate practice performance, support revenue cycle optimization, and maintain accurate financials in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting (50%)

• Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and weekly flash reports to track key business metrics.
• Analyze reimbursement trends, collection rates, and provider volume to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecast.
• Build and maintain cash forecasts, ensuring accuracy of the weekly cash file and related formulas.
• Maintain existing Quality of Revenue (QofR) files and implement a new revenue accrual process.

Accounting & Financial Operations (40%)

• Support monthly and year-end close: journal entries, account reconciliations, and report preparation.
• Prepare and distribute internal financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Assist with audits, tax planning, depreciation schedules, and fixed asset tracking.
• Manage AP, AR, and GL reconciliation processes in coordination with the Controller.

Operational & Strategic Support (10%)

• Partner with operations teams to provide actionable insights, including:
• Unsubmitted gross charges by provider
• Actual reimbursement trends by payor
• Vendor schedules and payment tracking
• Payroll registry analysis
• Export and format monthly financial data; prepare executive slide decks with key financial updates.
• Identify opportunities to streamline billing, collections, and expense workflows.
• Support EHR and financial system integrations and enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (required).
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or healthcare finance.
• Prior exposure to physician practice management and revenue cycle analytics strongly preferred.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas).
• Experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; attention to detail; ability to multitask.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, healthcare reimbursement models, and internal controls.
