If you are a Field Service Engineer / Professional looking for an opportunity to grow and develop professionally, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Riverside, CA, as a Senior Field Engineer, you will be part of a team of customer support engineers who analyze and solve engineering problems associated with the installation, start-up, and operation of relatively complex distributed control systems, sub-systems, and/or specific control equipment at customer locations.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform functions such as on-site instruction of customer personnel, writing and modifying maintenance procedures, quality control tests, and product evaluation.
• Direct efforts of customer personnel engaged in installation, modification, or repair of control systems, sub-systems, and equipment.
• Provide engineering advisory assistance to customers and liaise within the company on equipment-related issues.
• Create complete and timely reports on activities, emphasizing problem identification and services provided.

You value internal customer relationships, show initiative in tough situations, and are adept at identifying opportunities and gathering data from diverse sources to solve problems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or relevant experience in lieu of education.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience programming with PLC and/or DCS software.
