About this role:

The Sr. Facilities Engineer supports our Coventry, RI facility, overseeing plant operations and facilities equipment. The role involves engineering support for renovations, upgrades, retrofits, modernizations, and repairs. Collaboration with the site quality team is essential to enhance awareness, visibility, and communication on initiatives aligned with departmental, site, divisional, and corporate quality goals. The incumbent will develop and maintain engineering methodologies, systems, and practices to meet regulatory, customer, and organizational requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing construction projects, including programming, commissioning, validation, and equipment installation; conducting design reviews; value engineering; and lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Supporting installation, maintenance, and repair of sterilization equipment and supporting infrastructure.
  • Overseeing maintenance and operation of sterilization, building automation, and HVAC systems.
  • Managing facility maintenance contracts.
  • Collaborating with the Global Energy Team on energy requirements and carbon footprint reduction; performing gap assessments and developing roadmaps.
  • Participating in global initiatives on renewable energy goals.
  • Cross-training staff and providing technical guidance on facilities operations and issues.
  • Implementing commissioning and validation processes, and supporting development and qualification activities.
  • Working with EH&S teams to ensure safety and compliance, supporting quality practices.
  • Required qualifications:

    • BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
    • At least 5 years of engineering experience.
    • Knowledge of EPA and DEM regulations.
    • Preventative maintenance experience.
    • Experience with building management systems controls (air, water, gas, boilers).
    • Ability to respond to operational issues outside of regular hours.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Project Management (PMP) or Facilities Management (FMP or CFM) certification.
    • Knowledge of air pollution control and sterilization equipment.
    • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or GMP environments.
    • AutoCAD proficiency.
    • Organized, results-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects.
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
