Senior Estimator – Public Works Construction - Mohr Talent : Job Details

We've partnered with a fast-growing, specialized construction company seeking a Construction Estimator with strong experience in public works and municipal projects. This estimator will be a core member of the pre-construction team, handling full-cycle estimating responsibilities from design review and subcontractor coordination to cost modeling and proposal development.

• Lead quantity take-offs, value engineering, and budget pricing
• Coordinate and evaluate subcontractor bids, proposals, and scope coverage
• Review design documents for constructability, omissions, and scope gaps
• Prepare estimate reports, proposal documentation, and owner presentations
• Visit project sites for evaluation and pre-bid walkthroughs
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders

• 10+ years in construction estimating, with a focus on public projects
• Proficiency in RS Means, Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, SmartSheets
• Experience working with GCs or municipal agencies
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Mgmt, Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong written/verbal communication and team leadership skills
