Position Overview: Senior Environmental Scientist

This full-time role is ideal for a mid-level environmental consultant with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience. The position involves both fieldwork and office-based responsibilities, supporting project leads and technical teams on a variety of environmental assessment and remediation projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental due diligence assessments, including Phase I and Phase II site investigations
  • Perform field sampling, soil screening, and oversee construction-related environmental tasks
  • Compile and organize field data, including logs, photographs, and documentation
  • Interpret environmental regulations and apply them to site-specific conditions
  • Draft technical reports and documentation for regulatory compliance and client deliverables
  • Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations to internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate occasionally with other departments on multidisciplinary projects
  • Travel locally up to 80% of the time, with occasional overnight or weekend assignments

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related discipline
  • 4-8 years of hands-on experience in environmental consulting or site investigation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with GIS or CAD software is a plus
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical screening
