This includes contributing to the stability, hydrodynamics, and structural integrity of large-scale offshore installations and vessels. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.Key responsibilities Approach the understanding of complex vessels and their operational demands with enthusiasm and a problem-solving mindset, viewing challenges as opportunities for innovation.Lead the conceptual development of new ships and barges, turning ideas into viable and practical designs.Conduct studies to assess and propose modifications to the existing fleet, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic goals.Supervise and collaborate with external design agencies during the concept and basic design development phases, ensuring high-quality outputs.Analyse the investment costs and projected performance of developed concepts, ensuring economic feasibility and alignment with strategic objectives.Validate the buildability and practical feasibility of conceptual designs, ensuring they meet industry standards and operational requirements.What we're looking for EducationMarine Technology, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.ExperienceA minimum of 5 years in conceptual and basic design development for offshore vessels, including statutory verification processes.Skills and ExpertiseStrong knowledge of key factors influencing ship design and performance, including stability, structural strength, resistance, motion behavior, and propulsion systems.A hands-on mindset with the ability to independently execute initial design tasks.What we offer The opportunity to work on innovative and challenging projects at the forefront of offshore engineering.A competitive compensation and benefits package, including bonus.Free access to an in-house gym, complete with fitness classes to support your well-being.Regular social activities, including Friday afternoon gatherings, to connect with colleagues across the organization.Generous time off, with 30 days of leave to ensure you can fully recharge.Why choose The Offshore Partners?
