Role Summary

Based at Fab9 in Essex Junction, VT, the Senior Factory Automation / Manufacturing Engineer will focus on automating wafer load/unload processes as part of the Fab9 transformational initiative. This role involves leading projects, supporting manufacturing initiatives, managing project plans, and collaborating across various teams to implement automation solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead automation projects to prepare for mobile robot deployment in wafer load/unload processes.
  • Support other manufacturing engineering initiatives as needed.
  • Manage equipment and facilities project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Automation Engineering, Operations, Facilities, and OEMs.
  • Use CAD and simulation tools to design and validate automation solutions.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure activities comply with safety and environmental standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years industry experience.
    • Hands-on engineering skills and ability to understand complex systems.
    • Experience leading technical projects in manufacturing.
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    Preferred Skills
    • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing and process engineering.
    • Knowledge of semiconductor processing and cleanroom fundamentals.
    • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
    • Experience with automation and robotics deployment.
    Salary Range

    $65,400 - $145,800, based on experience and location.
