Position Overview:

Moog Commercial Aircraft Group is seeking a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer for an onsite role in East Aurora, NY. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will develop critical systems and be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing software for embedded aircraft control systems using real-time data.
  • Designing and implementing software for data acquisition and control in automated test equipment.
  • Performing systems and software integration and verification with real and simulated hardware.
  • Leading a team to define systems, author requirements, develop and verify software, and control project costs.
    • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience with 8+ years in the field.
  • Proficiency in C, Python, MATLAB, Simulink, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with DO-178 Level A Development and Verification activities.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex regulations and procedures.
    • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Occasionally leading teams for software requirements, system integration, testing, and support.
  • Maintaining knowledge of multiple operating systems, hardware drivers, and interfaces.
  • Staying updated with technological advances for continuous improvement.
  • Developing maintainable software interfaces to electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Selecting instrumentation with appropriate accuracy to meet requirements.
  • Travel may be required (up to 10%).

    Salary Range:

    $110,000.00 - $155,000.00 annually, based in Buffalo, NY.
