Job Summary: The Minnesota Star Tribune is searching for a Senior Email Manager, Strategy & Personalization. This role is crucial in building and executing the email strategy of the Growth & Marketing team, as well as collaborating with the newsroom on user touchpoints.

The Senior Email Manager, Strategy & Personalization will work with team members on the Growth & Marketing team to drive digital subscriptions, retain existing subscribers, and engage audiences with Minnesota Star Tribune products. This role will report to the Director of Subscriber Engagement & Retention and work across teams to plan, launch and optimize email user flows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute email sends across the Growth & Marketing team
• Work with stakeholders to plan email campaigns based on audiences, goals and larger business initiatives
• Develop strategic user journeys, working across the company to ensure a cohesive email experience for all audiences
• Own the email testing and optimization strategy with the goal of improving acquisition, retention and engagement
• Build email audience segmentation that delivers the right messages to the right users at the right times across the Growth & Marketing portfolio
• Report on campaign performance, using results for optimization recommendations

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years working in CRM or email marketing
• ESP experience required; Sailthru experience a plus
• Strategic background building user email journeys across audiences and products
• Subscription experience a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable collaborating closely with team members and across departments, as well as working independently
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

Salary/Wage Range $90,000 - $105,000 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
