We're working on behalf of a leading client outside of York, PA to fill a Senior Electrical Engineer position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and control systems, with experience in designing and developing electrical control panels and harnesses. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work closely with engineers and production team members to develop and maintain production documents and processes. You will collaborate with employees in engineering as well as production support, and work with engineering team members from customers to implement new designs and design changes. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement electrical engineering standards and best practices across the organization
- Lead cross-functional teams to design and develop new electrical products and systems
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and develop tailored electrical solutions
- Analyze and optimize electrical system performance to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design notes, technical specifications, and engineering reports
Requirements:
- Proven track record of successfully leading electrical engineering projects and teams
- Strong understanding of electrical system design principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience with electrical system simulation and modeling tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with advanced degree preferred
The following experience/knowledge is a plus:
- Experience with electrical system design and development in a contract manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards for soldering, splicing, terminating and troubleshooting of electrical systems
- 2+ years of experience with electrical system simulation and modeling tools
- Experience with electrical system design and development in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Knowledge of military standards and contract manufacturing companies PCB inspection or trouble shooting
