Consultant- Automation and Controls Engineering

Senior Electrical Engineer - Automation & Power Systems

A global integration firm is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support complex automation and electrical distribution projects across energy and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Design medium and low voltage power systems including MCCs, switchgear, transformers, and UPS units

Prepare one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, cable schedules, and area classification plans

Conduct electrical studies including arc flash, short circuit, and coordination using ETAP or SKM

Review designs for compliance with NEC, IEC, and other relevant codes

Integrate protective relays and specify components for motor control buildings

Evaluate existing systems and recommend upgrades to optimize performance

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 10 years' experience with industrial MV/LV systems

Professional Engineering License (Texas)

Expertise in electrical codes, relay protection, and hazardous area design

Familiarity with automation systems and PLC integration is a plus

Additional Requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and physical examinations

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Willingness to travel (minimum 20%) and work flexible hours
