I. Job Summary

Manages the full fleet of primary and secondary equipment within the assigned area, aligning with corporate objectives. Span of Control: 2 - 4 locations and/or 50 to 99 assets.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Focuses on achieving market profitability through effective management of fleet and maintenance activities, including cost control, employee development, and safety standards.
  • Reviews capital equipment requisitions in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Ensures safe, reliable vehicles are available to meet operational needs.
  • Manages effective utilization of vehicle assets.
  • Conducts fleet evaluations to meet maintenance standards.
  • Ensures maintenance shops are properly staffed and mechanics trained.
  • Utilizes vehicle management systems effectively.
  • Adheres to WM's Mission to Zero standards and regulations.
  • Completes financial reviews and corporate programs on time.
  • Assists in budgeting processes.
  • Maintains cleanliness and upkeep of maintenance shops through inspections and preventive programs.
  • Oversees personnel needs, including hiring, coaching, disciplining, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Promotes safety and morale through regular meetings and training.
  • Prepares and submits reports timely.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises full-time employees directly and indirectly as required.

IV. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
