SUMMARY: The Senior Director, Supply Chain, is responsible for leading the Procurement, Inventory Management and Distribution Operations, including inventory optimization, freight, and network improvements, integrating with technology and IT, and leading distribution process improvements. Position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

- Oversee procurement, distribution, and warehouse functions to achieve company's customer experience [CW1] [BL2] expectations and improve overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strategic Planning and Performance Management
Drive strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's supply chain function.Develop strategies to address supply chain opportunities risks and to achieve company's revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow objectives.Lead the Supply Chain organization using the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) to set and communicate the strategy, deliverables, and leading indicators.Drive use of systems and data analytics in areas of responsibility. Champion deployment of new tools and methodologies impacting supply chain and warehouse functions.- Strategic Inventory Management
Develop and improve inventory strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand, achieve inventory turn goal, and avoid supply disruption.Develop and lead initiatives to minimize slow moving and obsolete inventory.Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to develop and refine inventory stocking programs to best serve customers and improve customer forecast accuracy- Procurement and Vendor Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality of the supply chainOversee the procurement of materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisitionCreate contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and maintain business continuityDevelop and execute initiatives to achieve reduction in Cost of Materials to strengthen overall profitability contribution through Cost of Goods.Ensure supply chain readiness for new product launches, monitor product portfolio performance, and identify opportunities for SKU rationalization and inventory liquidations.Partner with IT team and utilize data to identify efficiency gains and optimization opportunities; implement strategies and plans to achieve desired results.Collaborate and build strong relationships with executive leadership team, sales management and sales team, and functional leaders (HR, Finance, IT, Marketing)Interview, hire, and onboard new members of the teamPlan, assign, and direct work, and set priorities within the Supply Chain organizationComplete performance appraisals, enforce discipline, provide mentoring, and contribute to succession planning and talent management processes.Create development plans for all direct reports, and facilitate the buildout of development plans for each team member within the Supply Chain organization- Lead change management initiatives to continuously improve purchasing, inventory management and distribution practices.
- Prepare and manage annual expense budgets and capital investment budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations management, business administration, engineering, manufacturing, quality, or other related field of study.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in a distribution supply chain environment
- At least five years of experience leading and managing people.

- Thorough understanding of broad business practices including inventory optimization, contract negotiation, and warehouse management.

- Ability to develop strategy and win consensus from key stakeholders.

- Demonstrated organizational development experience.
- Strong experience with, or background in, information technology is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead a multi-site distribution environment.
- Capacity for strategic thinking for long-term supplier relationships.
- Excellent ability to communicate; writing, speaking and presenting information effectively.
Requirements:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some movement from area to area, transporting of items such as a laptop computer, small products or parts, product books or catalogs. Position also requires long periods of sitting while driving or riding as a passenger in an automobile to customer sites. Ability to effectively communicate using company-issued devices such as laptop, mobile phone, etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to a general office environment. Must be able to move through customer sites, including warehouses, shipyards, oil field rigs, manufacturing facilities, and related machinery, etc. Work outside normal business hours is required from time to time. Overnight travel is less than 25%.
