Job Description

We are seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Senior Director, Strategy Operations to partner with our Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role designed not only to accelerate strategic alignment and execution across the enterprisebut also to serve as a developmental path to future General Management.

You will drive cross-functional business planning, shape and lead strategic initiatives, and serve as an extension of the executive office. As a force multiplier for the Strategy and Corporate Development function, the individual will integrate across product, engineering, corporate development, operations, marketing, and finance, driving both strategic clarity and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Strategy & Execution

  • Drive the strategy planning cadence for the Strategy & Corporate Development function, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and business area strategies.
  • Incubate and lead high-impact cross-functional initiatives from concept to execution, including organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
  • Analyze market, competitive, and internal data to generate strategic insights and shape go-forward decisions at the highest level.

Business Leadership & Operational Oversight

  • Serve as a key advisor and business partner to the CSO, acting as an extension of executive leadership in forums with cross-functional leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Own and evolve operational frameworks for performance tracking, business reviews, and investment prioritization across corporate development and product strategy.
  • Drive accountability and transparency on critical initiatives; oversee program management for strategic efforts across the business.

Organizational Effectiveness & Talent Development

  • Lead and manage a matrixed team of analysts, project managers, or business associates as needed, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Help shape the organizational structure, talent planning, and functional integration of teams aligned with Strategy and Corporate Development.
  • Act as a culture carrier and leadership model for the broader organization.

Financial and Commercial Leadership

  • Support business case development and financial modeling for new ventures, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with finance and BU leaders on planning, resource allocation, and business optimization.
  • Play a hands-on role in post-merger integration and commercialization strategy for acquired assets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, corporate development, or P&L leadership roles at a global technology company.
  • 5+ years in top-tier management consulting or corporate strategy functions with demonstrated impact.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise technology, storage infrastructure, or cloud ecosystems.
  • Proven experience influencing at the executive level, with exceptional storytelling and executive presence.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience evaluating and driving business growth opportunities.
  • Skilled at building systems for scaleperformance tracking, goal alignment, and business process design.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize ruthlessly, and deliver measurable outcomes in complex environments.
  • A leadership mindset with aspirations toward future General Management.
