PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Strategic Partnerships team as the Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships at the RHC Office.

ABOUT PATHSince its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing.

ABOUT THE JOBAs part of the Strategic Partnerships team, the Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships will work under the supervision of PATH's Chief External Affairs Officer to achieve statewide revenue goals through public and private funding from government sources as well as private foundations. This position will create and manage a multi-year fund development plan, designed to achieve PATH's goals and institutionalize best practices, and create a culture of philanthropy across the entire organization. The Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships will play a major role in readying the organization for more growth and impact in the coming years. The Senior Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of institutional fundraising, including developing strategies to initiate new contacts and build relationships with new potential funders, strengthening existing funding relationships, managing the production of grant proposals and reports and conducting other cultivation and solicitation activities as required for institutional donors. The Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships will supervise the Grants Department to ensure timely and accurate management of all foundation, corporate, and government grants, and related requirements.

Position Responsibilities include:

• Statewide Strategic Planning — Create, implement, and oversee long-term strategies to improve effectiveness of development and grants department and ensure consistent foundation, corporate, and government support throughout the State.
• Stewardship and Campaigns — Lead funding opportunities, particularly for corporate sponsorships. Identify, prioritize and pitch funders for capital campaigns and event sponsorships. Ensure clearly defined and internally vetted sponsorship offerings.
• Management and Operations — Oversee PATH's grant writing, research, and reporting activities. Develop and maintain grants plan, budget, calendar, and quarterly reports.
• Funder Cultivation and Retention — Identify new institutional funding sources, act as the primary point of contact, and maintain ongoing relationships. Develop strategies to retain and enhance relationships with foundations, corporations, and government funders.
• Program Development — Support strategic development of PATH's programs by providing guidance and project management to program staff when crafting proposals for new programs.
• Support the creation of viable program budgets that promote long-term sustainability.
• Proposal writing and editing — Develop and write compelling proposals in response to foundation, corporate, and government RFPs. Review and edit proposals written by staff.
• Projections and Reporting — Develop and maintain monthly cash flow projections based on grants applied for and received. Prepare quarterly reports detailing grant-related activities, including proposals submitted, funds raised, and prospects identified.
• Research and Trends — Conduct regular research to identify new funding sources for PATH's programs. Track relevant fundraising/industry statistics and trends and incorporate findings into strategies, goals, and proposals.
• Funder Engagement — Attend bidders' conferences and grant workshops. Coordinate site visits from funders, interact with and respond to questions from foundation and corporate representatives, and participate in relevant discussions and meetings.
• Database Management — Maintain and organize the electronic foundation filing system and integrate it with the development database.
• Core Job Functions (continued) — Oversee employee performance evaluations, conduct supervision meetings, manage timesheets and attendance issues, provide recognition and corrective action as needed, address concerns, and facilitate problem resolutions. Represent the company in employment-related matters as part of supervisory responsibilities, including participation in court proceedings and regulatory processes. Attend required training sessions and staff meetings and events as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Ten (10) years of experience in nonprofit grant writing or an equivalent combination of experience and education
• Six (6) years' supervisory experience
