The Global Equipment Platforms (GEP) team is seeking a visionary Global Product Owner to lead the Unified IoT & Connected Equipment Platform. This role drives the transformation of The Coca-Cola Company's global fleet of equipment into intelligent, insight-generating assets, to reduce operating expenses and increase revenue through real-time market understanding.

Overview

The Unified IoT Platform encompasses device management, content management, Order-to-Cash integrations, and a scalable IoT infrastructure built on the KO Operating System (KOS). The Global Product Owner will define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the connected equipment ecosystem, aligning with enterprise objectives and maximizing value for TCCC and its bottling partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unified IoT Platform Vision & Strategy (25%)
    • Define, own, and champion the comprehensive product vision and roadmap for the Unified IoT & Connected Equipment Platform across equipment types and global markets.
    • Ensure architecture supports varied global market needs with minimal vendor lock-in and seamless operation by diverse technology partners.
    • Integrate KOS as the core embedded OS foundation and expand its capabilities within the unified IoT solution.
    • Evolve the platform to embrace future device technologies (e.g., LoRaWAN, 5G, satellite IoT) and AI/ML capabilities including AI Agents, computer vision, and predictive analytics.
  • Product Ownership & Delivery (30%)
    • Translate platform strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for global engineering teams.
    • Own and prioritize the platform backlog to maximize business value and technical feasibility.
    • Lead discovery, define MVPs, and manage iterative releases to deliver continuous value.
    • Oversee IoT infrastructure components such as device onboarding, secure data ingestion, message brokering, data schema, and device management (remote diagnostics, OTA updates).
    • Collaborate with data engineering to define data models and ensure data quality for analytics and AI applications.
    • Define requirements to support scalable deployment of AI/ML models by the Lead AI Engineer and enable data-driven features with the Data Scientist.
  • Ecosystem & Stakeholder Management (25%)
    • Foster partnerships with Enterprise Digital Technology Solutions (IT), Global Customer Commercial, Equipment Procurement, GEP Hardware, Digital, and Platform teams.
    • Enable multi-tenant capabilities for bottlers with data segregation, access control, and tailored insights.
    • Engage external technology partners and industry experts to maintain IoT innovation while ensuring vendor replaceability.
  • Performance Measurement & Optimization (10%)
    • Define and track KPIs for uptime, efficiency, TCO reduction, revenue uplift, data insights, and adoption rates.
    • Use data-driven inputs to identify opportunities for platform enhancements and new features.
    • Monitor the competitive landscape to adapt the roadmap to disruptive trends.
  • Global Scaling & Support (10%)
    • Define requirements for a globally scalable IoT infrastructure supporting 17M+ devices.
    • Support multiple hardware compute solutions and connectivity options.
    • Provide SME input for integration with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.

Key Deliverables

  • Comprehensive 1-3 year roadmap for the Unified IoT & Connected Equipment Platform.
  • Prioritized backlog with user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Successful launch and adoption of platform features and integrations.
  • Quantifiable improvements in TCO, uptime, and transactional performance.
  • Increased OEM adoption of KOS and platform adoption by bottlers.
  • Enhanced capabilities for real-time market insights from connected equipment data.
  • Robust multi-tenant capabilities for bottlers and OEMs.

Decision Rights

  • Ownership of the platform roadmap and backlog prioritization.
  • Defining user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria for platform features.
  • Arbiter of architectural and technology decisions in collaboration with leads.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years' experience in product management for large-scale IoT platforms, connected devices, or cloud-based solutions.
  • Proven track record of global technology roadmaps and complex integration strategies.
  • Deep understanding of IoT ecosystems, device management, data ingestion, cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred), connectivity, and security.
  • Experience with data engineering principles and leveraging data for analytics and AI/ML applications.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects across geographies.
  • Experience working with hardware and embedded systems teams and knowledge of proprietary OS (similar to KOS).
  • Strong experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Estimated Travel: 0-20% (Domestic & International).

Pay Range: $193,000 - $219,000. Base pay varies by geography and experience. Benefits, including medical and financial, are offered. Annual Incentive Reference Value: 30%.
