Join to apply for the Senior Director of Residential Services role at MCHS Family of Services14 hours ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJob SummaryThe Senior Director of Residential Services (SDORS) is responsible for leading and supporting MCHS's residential treatment services for clients and families, aligning with the organization's mission, vision, and core values. The SDORS will foster a healthy workplace environment by leading with cultural sensitivity and awareness, ensuring trauma-informed, culturally diverse, competent, and inclusive program environments and staff teams. This role involves fostering teamwork across all residential treatment program areas, including residential care, clinical services, and children's services. The focus will be on maximizing program efficiency and impact, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and delivering evidence-based care to improve client outcomes.ResponsibilitiesEnsure residential treatment programs align with MCHS's mission, goals, strategies, and industry best practices.Provide supervision and leadership for residential care, clinical services, and children's services, overseeing work priorities, growth, and performance improvement initiatives.Enhance residential operations, including direct interventions and team approaches, aligned with best practices in child welfare, behavioral health, and trauma-informed care.Develop and implement the agency's trauma-informed care model.Identify opportunities for program growth, strengthen existing partnerships, and develop new collaborations.Lead continuous quality improvement efforts, ensuring standards are met or exceeded, using evidence-based practices.Serve as the agency liaison with external agencies, ensuring compliance with policies, licensing, and accreditation standards.Promote trauma-informed programming that creates a safe, supportive environment for staff and clients, including staff training and competency development.Assist in budget planning and revenue management to sustain service delivery.Establish departmental structures and accountability processes based on best practices and policies.Participate in administrative on-call rotations for after-hours support.Operate within all agency and DHHS policies and procedures.Demonstrate commitment to MCHS's mission and perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsMaster's degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, or a related field (with at least 50% coursework in human behavior sciences).At least five (5) years of supervisory experience in residential or inpatient settings working with at-risk youth with serious emotional disorders aged 5–18.Knowledge & SkillsProficiency in computer applications (Windows, MS Office, Internet).Understanding of trauma-informed care and behavior management techniques.Knowledge of child welfare policies, trends, and family dynamics.Leadership, motivation, and management skills.Effective communication, relationship-building, and decision-making abilities.Ability to handle sensitive situations confidentially and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.Additional InformationMCHS is an equal opportunity employer.
