PURPOSE:
Jewish Community Services (JCS) takes a population health approach to supporting the mental health and well-being of New York City's Jewish community. JCS works to reduce stigma, prioritize prevention, and strengthen the resiliency of individuals, families, and communities. Key areas of focus include grief, addiction, and teen mental health initiatives. JCS engages and equips Jewish communal organizations to provide mental health support to their members through psychoeducation and resources, peer-led initiatives, and screening/referrals for treatment when needed.
Position Overview:
The Senior Director of Population Health will lead the development and implementation of key initiatives aimed at improving the mental health, wellness, and resiliency of Jewish New Yorkers. This includes the branding of program initiatives, designing frameworks for peer-led work, creating educational materials, and identifying platforms through which resources and information can be shared broadly with the community. The senior director will oversee the design and execution of annual conferences, retreats, and programming that positions JCS as a convener for professionals and lay leaders within Jewish community. The senior director will utilize outcome measures to track the impact of initiatives and inform continuous improvement.
This position reports to the Deputy Director and is responsible for supervising program staff, fostering collaboration across agency departments, and engaging with community stakeholders to expand JCS's reach. In addition to leading the team, the Senior Director will oversee hiring, training, performance management, and professional development to ensure a skilled and effective staff
