Senior Director of Nursing

The Senior Director of Nursing plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing services within our Montefiore Einstein, overseeing a broad scope of strategic, operational, and clinical responsibilities. This dynamic leader will drive nursing operations in alignment with our mission, vision, and strategic priorities—ensuring excellence in care, collaboration, and outcomes.

This high-impact position leads the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care standards across multiple service lines. The Senior Director will oversee the Regional Perinatal Center, Inpatient Services & Nursing Administration or Emergency Department, Critical Care Services & Throughput to improve professional development, quality and performance improvement initiatives, and ensure the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered care. A critical member of our leadership team, this role partners closely with interdisciplinary physician teams and other clinical leaders to ensure seamless, high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse License and registration required
• Master's degree in nursing or a related field required
• Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership and management experience in nursing
• Deep understanding of inpatient, emergency, critical care, and ambulatory service operations
• Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and operational analysis
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of successful team and personnel management
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead with a patient-first mindset using data-driven strategies, including balanced scorecard metrics
• Proficient in critical thinking, clinical decision-making, and systems-based problem solving
• Computer literacy required
• ANCC Certification in Nursing Administration or Advanced Administration strongly preferred

Work Scheduled: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM-5 PM

Salary Range/Pay Rate: $200,000.00 to $260,000.00
