The Senior Director Of Facilities is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all facilities management, development projects, and operational support across our restaurant footprint, commissary, and support centers. This role combines strategic vision, operational execution, and compliance oversight, ensuring optimal restaurant performance, long-term asset integrity, and alignment with the company's growth objectives.
This position requires a seasoned facilities and development professional with extensive experience in hospitality or restaurant operations, a proven ability to lead regional teams, and expertise in managing both capital and repair/maintenance programs at scale.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Development
Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities and development strategy aligned with company growth and operational objectives.
Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the long-term vision for restaurant operations, commissary, and support center facilities.
Oversee the full lifecycle of development projects, including site selection, design, construction, opening, and post-opening evaluation.
Ensure all projects meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations while maintaining operational excellence.
Lead capital improvement initiatives and preventive maintenance programs to optimize restaurant performance and long-term asset value.
Analyze maintenance trends and implement proactive solutions to minimize operational disruptions.
Operational Oversight & Facilities Management
Oversee daily operations of the regional facilities team, including facilities managers, coordinators, and technicians.
Serve as the subject matter expert on repairs, replacements, and maintenance of all FF&E, building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), and mechanical equipment.
Plan, execute, and monitor capital projects, rollouts, and preventive maintenance programs across the region.
Manage budgets for facilities, repairs & maintenance (R&M), and capital projects, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost optimization.
Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure high-quality and cost-effective services.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, licensing, and labor codes.
Facilities Administration & Compliance
Administer and optimize the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track preventive maintenance, work orders, asset management, and vendor compliance.
Ensure seamless integration and communication between CMMS, accounting, and operations systems.
Track warranties, lease obligations, and recurring preventive maintenance services.
Maintain accurate documentation of all facilities activities, compliance records, and capital projects.
Provide regular reporting to leadership on capital spend, R&M performance, compliance status, and operational trends.
Support ongoing training and development for facilities staff and cross-functional teams on systems, processes, and SOPs.
Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the primary liaison with operations, landlords, property managers, and third-party vendors to resolve facility-related issues.
Provide timely updates and reports to leadership on facilities performance, capital projects, and regulatory compliance.
Partner with operations and support functions to plan and execute restaurant rollouts, remodels, and upgrades efficiently.
Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the facilities team.
Qualifications7+ years of progressive facilities management and development experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry, including leadership of regional teams.
Demonstrated success managing multiple sites (50+ units preferred) with both operational and capital responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of restaurant building systems, equipment, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Expertise in preventive maintenance programs, capital project management, and repair/replace analytics.
Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and national/regional service provider relationships.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a results-driven approach.
Experience with CMMS platforms (e.g., Service Channel) and integration with corporate systems.
Ability to travel as needed to all of our facilities.

The annualized salary range for this position (plus a bonus) is: $170,000 - $185,000
