Job Summary:
The Senior Director of Engineering in Supply Chain will lead and oversee the engineering and technical operations within the supply chain division. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, efficiency, and scalability in supply chain processes, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. The Senior Director will work closely with the COO to develop and implement strategies that enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain processes.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute engineering strategies that align with the company's supply chain objectives.
- Identify and implement best practices to optimize supply chain operations.
- Drive initiatives to enhance sustainability and reduce operational costs.
- Technical Oversight:
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of supply chain systems and technologies.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of supply chain infrastructure.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Performance Management:
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of supply chain operations.
- Implement corrective actions to address performance gaps and drive continuous improvement.
- Report on supply chain performance to the COO and other senior executives.
- Project Management:
- Lead large-scale projects such as supply chain warehouse optimization, logistics network redesign, and inventory management system upgrades.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and resources are effectively utilized.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and identify areas for improvement.
- Best Practices & Data Integrity:
- Conduct quarterly internal best practice reviews.
- Assist in managing overall system data integrity with a focus on sales order fulfillment.
- Create standard business practices for identifying and resolving data integrity issues.
- Review oversold materials and resolve issues prior to the allocation process.
- Monitor bulk orders to ensure timely and accurate depletion; resolve business issues with bulk logic.
- Ensure storage location/ship point accuracy on sales orders based on inventory and inbound production.
- Work with Sales, Production, and Order Management on past cancel orders and open balances on POs and SOs.
- Collaborate with business teams to create and maintain Sales Order Processing SOPs across divisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving innovation and efficiency in supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of supply chain technologies and systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

Salary Range: $138,000 - $173,000
