Senior Director of Digital and Ecommerce

A fast-growing consumer brand is launching a new eCommerce vertical, and this role will be central to defining and scaling it. The Senior Director of Digital & eCommerce will unify and lead all digital sales channelsAmazon 3P, direct-to-consumer (DTC), and key retailer.com partners (e.g., Ulta.com, Target.com, Boots.com).

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role. Youll define the long-term vision for eCommerce growth while also managing day-to-day execution. Youll oversee external agency partners (Amazon) and internal team members, ensuring accountability for performance, alignment across functions, and strong revenue delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and lead the eCommerce function across all digital channels (Amazon, DTC, retailer.com)
  • Define KPIs and the roadmap for long-term growth and global scalability
  • Lead, coach, and develop cross-functional team members including:
  • Customer Experience Manager (DTC)
  • Own performance against commercial sales targets across channels
  • Develop and execute channel-specific promotional strategies and seasonal campaign plans (e.g., Black Friday, retailer-specific events)
Amazon (3P)
  • Manage the Amazon agency relationship, providing strategic direction on:
  • Advertising and media spend
  • Pricing and operational execution
  • Drive growth through category expansion, search ranking, and review strategies
DTC (Direct-to-Consumer Website)
  • Own the DTC channel strategy and execution:
  • Website performance and conversion
  • Promotions and merchandising
  • CRM, retention, and email/SMS marketing
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the email/SMS program (calendar, flows, segmentation, performance)
  • Collaborate with paid media to align audience segmentation and testing strategies
  • Lead SEO strategy and implementation across DTC and digital retail partners
  • Oversee digital merchandising, content optimization, and growth initiatives across key online retailers
  • Ensure optimization of the digital shelf (imagery, copy, reviews, search rankings)
Customer Experience (CX)
  • Lead the CX function to ensure a high-quality DTC customer experience
  • Work cross-functionally with operations and community teams to align support and service with brand values
  • Drive retention and loyalty by resolving issues and optimizing service touchpoints
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with teams across retail, marketing, operations, and finance to ensure alignment with broader company goals
  • Provide performance reporting, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
What Youll Bring
  • 710+ years of eCommerce experience across Amazon 3P, DTC, and/or retailer.com
  • Proven success growing a digital business in a consumer-facing brand (ideally in beauty, personal care, or CPG)
  • Comfortable leading strategy while being hands-on in execution
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience owning forecasts and P&L
  • Track record of managing external agencies or partners with clear accountability
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Analytical, creative, and collaborative mindset
