Our client is seeking a dynamic leader to oversee and optimise commercial manufacturing operations within a GMP environment.

Your objectives:

As the Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations, Commercial, you will be measured against the

following objectives:

• Lead, manage, and develop commercial manufacturing teams to deliver products on time and in full
• Ensure successful tech transfer and scale-up of commercial manufacturing campaigns
• Drive operational efficiency through lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives

What you will do:

As the Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations, Commercial, your duties and responsibilities will include:

· Oversee multiple teams and shifts across upstream and downstream commercial production operations.

· Ensure GMP compliance, process reliability, and inspection readiness across manufacturing areas.

· Partner with Tech Transfer teams to enable smooth and timely transition of projects into commercial production.

· Serve as key point of contact for client interactions, providing updates, managing expectations, and ensuring satisfaction.

· Lead operational governance and performance systems including scheduling, risk management, and KPI delivery.

· Champion cross-functional collaboration with HR, MS&T, and senior leadership to attract talent and meet business goals.

· Support lean transformation efforts and drive waste reduction and efficiency improvement across operations.

What you will bring:

These are the skills and experience you will need to succeed as the Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations, Commercial:

· 10–12+ years' experience in GMP biologic drug substance manufacturing.

· Experience leading upstream/downstream operations in mammalian or microbial systems.

· Strong CDMO/CMO and branded company experience.

· Proficiency in chromatography, TFF, CIP, and other purification techniques.

· Strategic leadership capabilities with at least 6 years of management experience.

· B.S. in Engineering or Life Sciences.

· M.S. in Engineering or Life Sciences (preferred).
