Director / Sr. Director, HR – Global Biotech

Location: Hybrid, Bay Area preferred (US-based)

Salary: $225K–$275K

A fast-growing clinical-stage biotech seeking a Director or Sr. Director of People to lead global HR strategy and operations, with a focus on scaling teams in the US and Europe. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role supporting performance, compensation, culture, and compliance during a pivotal growth phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead performance management, talent development, and succession planning
• Oversee compensation strategy, bonus/equity programs, and benchmarking
• Drive engagement, culture, and retention across a mission-driven team
• Manage HR operations, benefits, compliance, and immigration
• Support international expansion, especially across European markets
• Partner closely with leadership on org design and change management

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience; biotech/life sciences preferred
• Strong track record in compensation, talent development & HR operations
• Experience supporting global teams; EU HR expertise strongly preferred
• Strategic mindset with ability to execute hands-on
