This is a pivotal leadership role with accountability for driving brand-building campaigns, category storytelling, and commercial performance across key product franchises.You will own the category brand strategy and commercialization approach, shaping how we bring innovation to market and maximize core product growth. Reporting to the SVP of Global Marketing, you will oversee a team of category brand managers and act as a critical cross-functional leader partnering with Innovation, Commercial, E-commerce, Creative, Paid Media, Influencer, Social, and Education teams.This role blends business leadership, brand strategy, and campaign execution, making you a key player in driving both short-term results and long-term brand equity.Key ResponsibilitiesCategory Brand Leadership & Commercial Ownership
- Lead the brand strategy and positioning for the Pro Technical, Treatments, and Styling categories, defining how the Olaplex brand shows up across product franchises
- Own category-level commercial performance and brand health metrics, driving sustained growth across professional, DTC, and retail channels
- Partner with the Innovation team to shape go-to-market strategy for new product launches, providing marketing leadership on positioning, claims, messaging, and global commercialization plans
- Monitor market dynamics and performance, driving core product growth and lifecycle management strategies
Campaign & Content Leadership
- Architect brand-defining 360 campaigns that deliver both breakthrough storytelling and commercial impact
- Lead end-to-end go-to-market excellence, from strategy to execution across launches, seasonal moments, and evergreen category storytelling
- Develop full-funnel campaign content strategies, partnering closely with Creative, Paid Media, Influencer, Social, and E-commerce teams to maximize cultural relevance and performance impact
- Ensure professional authority remains central to all storytelling, reinforcing Olaplex's leadership in healthy hair solutions
Cross-Functional Strategic Leadership
- Act as the category marketing lead across the business, aligning cross-functional partners around brand priorities and category objectives
- Drive go-to-market alignment with Commercial teams, ensuring strong retailer narratives, sell-in readiness, and business-driving plans
- Lead partnership with E-commerce teams to deliver best-in-class PDP storytelling, digital assets, and conversion-driving strategies
- Align with Education and Professional teams to ensure stylist-first storytelling across all activations and touchpoints
- Represent category priorities and brand strategy in key commercial meetings, performance reviews, and retail planning sessions
Investment Strategy & Budget Ownership
- Own the category marketing budget, responsible for non-working dollar allocation across content creation, sampling, brand activations, and toolkits
- Define strategic KPIs tied to brand equity, commercial performance, and competitive health; lead tracking and post-campaign evaluation
- Collaborate closely with Paid Media to align investment priorities based on brand priorities and focus areas, while not owning day-to-day paid media optimization
- Ensure proactive budget management and reallocation in response to business performance and brand needs
Team & Talent Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of Category Brand Managers, fostering a high-performance culture with a focus on strategic thinking, commercial impact, and brand leadership
- Coach and mentor team members, providing clear growth paths and hands-on development
- Contribute as a senior leader within Olaplex's global marketing organization, influencing broader brand priorities beyond your immediate category
About You:
- 12+ years of progressive experience in brand marketing, with leadership roles in consumer, beauty, or professional categories
- Demonstrated success in driving category growth through strategic marketing and commercial execution
- Experience leading end-to-end campaign strategy, including messaging, content development, and full-funnel activation
- Strong cross-functional leadership experience influencing senior internal and external stakeholders
- Proven track record of owning category-level P&L impact and brand health performance metrics
- Fluent in competitive landscaping and commercial business drivers, with the ability to proactively influence business decisions
- Exceptional prioritization and time management skills; able to balance high-level strategic leadership with a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset to drive results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making thoughtful trade-offs, and moving quickly from strategy to action where needed
- Inspirational people leader with excellent communication and storytelling skills and a passion for developing future leaders

The actual base pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, skill level, functional expertise, certificates or other professional licenses held and geographic location.
