Senior Director, Commercial & Industrial - Resource Innovations : Job Details

Resource Innovations is seeking a Senior Director, Commercial & Industrial to join our team in Chicago, IL. We are looking for an experienced Senior Director with a background in commercial and industrial (C&I) energy efficiency program design and implementation. The role involves leading a portfolio of large-scale C&I programs, managing strategy, implementation, client relationships, and mentoring a cross-functional team.

• Manage client relations, co-manage projects, present results, and develop strategies aligned with client goals.
• Ensure quality of services and products, contract compliance, and performance metrics while maintaining project schedules.
• Assess staffing needs and secure resources, including hiring when necessary.
• Maintain quality control of all deliverables, demonstrating technical excellence and clarity.
• Oversee project budgets, revenue targets, and profitability.
• Identify marketing opportunities and collaborate with Business Development, Utility Account Managers, and the Software team to secure new business.
• Provide accurate forecasts for reporting purposes.
• Work with other senior leaders to ensure knowledge management and best practices.
• Conduct employee evaluations and oversee staff development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be located in Illinois.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• At least 7+ years of experience managing energy efficiency or demand response programs for North American Utilities.
• At least 4+ years of direct supervisory experience.
• Ability to travel within Chicagoland up to 30% and maintain a regular in-office presence in Chicago.
• Interest in sustainability and a passion for environmental impact.
