Job Description:
GliaCell is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position supporting a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise to sustain critical mission-related software and systems for a large government contract.Duties:
- Provide a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates microservices of a modernized operational system utilizing cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Infrastructure as Code and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Experience with patching, hardening, and maintaining compliance of RHEL systems.
- Install, configure, and optimize performance using Kubernetes, Docker Compose, Nifi, and cloud-native logging and metrics tools.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code with GitLab Runners and Argo CD.
- Manage AWS cloud platforms.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for team-oriented work.
Key Requirements:
- Active or reinstatable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- 9+ years of experience as a Developer in similar scope programs. A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required, or 4 years of development experience can substitute for a degree.
Required Skills:
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, Lambdas, S3, SNS, SQS, and Step Functions using Terraform.
- Understanding of AWS networking principles including VPCs, NATs, and IP Gateways.
- Develop and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Optimize application performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues to ensure system uptime.
- Experience with Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, and Fargate.
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD / Partial Telework (up to 2 days per week).
Salary Range: $200,000 to $235,000, determined by experience, skills, and certifications. Specific details to be discussed during hiring.
