About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Devops Engineer to join our early-stage health tech startup, focused on leveraging AI to revolutionize the provider model and improve patient outcomes. You'll be crucial in building and expanding our infrastructure strategy.

Competitive target compensation based on experience (180k-200k+ plus strong equity), strong benefits and a hybrid NYC location.

Responsibilities:
  • Independently lead infrastructure and developer experience projects from ideation through planning, implementation, rollout, and hand-off.
  • Scope, estimate, and reliably deliver infrastructure projects on agreed timelines.
  • Continuously identify and proactively address critical infrastructure issues and enhancements, promoting best practices throughout our stack.
  • Set up and manage AWS infrastructure to support business requirements, and continuously evolve the stack to improve efficiency, security, and reliability.
  • Set up and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines across development, staging/testing, and production environments.
  • Set up and manage development environments for all of engineering.
  • Mentor and guide junior infrastructure and DevOps engineers.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing major infrastructure initiatives.
  • Effective at cross-team coordination and working with others across the org.
  • Extensive experience in Kubernetes, containerization, cloud environments (AWS strongly preferred), IaaS tooling (e.g. Terraform, CDK, etc..) and observability.
  • Extensive experience with data pipelines and cloud datastores (Postgres a strong plus)
  • Experience in evolving and refining developer experience initiatives across an engineering organization.
Strong Additional Qualifications:
  • Fullstack development experience (JS/TS/Node in particular)
  • Production AWS, container and/or data orchestration experience
  • Demonstrated experience in similar roles in a startup or consultancy
  • Experience with managing and optimizing infrastructure costs
