Role Definition
Caterpillar's Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) designs and manufactures mechanical and electric drivetrain components and systems used across the full Cat machine product line.
As a Torque Converter Design Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for developing expertise of a complex fluid-mechanical device that is a critical drivetrain component in every Caterpillar product utilizing a powershift transmission. You will have design responsibility for a product-dedicated family of Torque Converters, its parts and subsystems. You will lead the technical planning and execution of NPI, CPI, and production maintenance projects. Using critical thinking skills, you will lead the team to identify areas of risk and develop and manage a validation plan to mitigate. You will identify analysis and physical test activities and adapt the technical plan as needed. You will communicate results to the extended teams as appropriate. As a Torque Converter design expert, you will identify and lead design and process improvements intended to improve performance, reduce warranty, and cut costs.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
