Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Senior Database Developer to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with enterprise-level database systems and related technologies, with a strong emphasis on performance optimization. They will play a crucial role in designing and maintaining our database infrastructure, with a particular focus on implementing efficient strategies to ensure data consistency, availability, and data consistency across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions that support our enterprise applications.

  • Implement and optimize database replication processes, ensuring data consistency across multiple environments.

  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.

  • Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases seamlessly into applications.

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization of database systems.

  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies.

  • Design and develop complex reports and dashboards using optimized SQL queries for efficient report generation.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or related experience

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in database development and management

  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL and experience with Microsoft SQL Server replication technologies

  • Expertise in database performance tuning and query optimization

  • Experience with database replication methods, including log-based and trigger-based CDC.

  • Familiarity with cloud database solutions

  • Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles

  • Experience with ETL processes and reporting tools.

Required Skill:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and its replication features

  • Experience with high-availability solutions like AlwaysOn Availability Groups

  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.

  • Strong understanding of database security and access control mechanisms

  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch

  • Experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
