What You Will Do
Own delivery of large and/or complex data science and engineering projectsLead in the development and testing of hypotheses across all functional data setsLead requirements gathering sessions with business and technical staff to translate business requests into technical requirementsDefine and implement integrated data models, allowing data integration from multiple sourcesDesign and develop scalable, efficient data pipeline processes for data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, integration, and validationDefine and implement data stores based on system and user requirementsDesign and develop models to understand and solve complex business problems using data mining, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, stochastic modeling, pattern recognition, probability analysis, and network analysisDevelop production models using technologies such as SAS, Python, and RLeverage existing data sets and engineer new data sets, including SQL query development, data integration, and resolving data quality issuesApply advanced understanding of Big Data systems to data engineering and analytic model implementationLead reviews of analytic models and algorithmsIdentify actionable insights, suggest recommendations, and influence business decisions by effectively communicating results to cross-functional teamsDocument and validate analytic processes, including performance testing and data validationWhat You Bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher (where required)
- 5+ years of experience in a related field
- Alternatively, 7+ years of experience in a related field in lieu of a degree
Salary Range
At Blue Cross NC, we offer a fair and equitable compensation package reflecting market rates. Our starting salaries are typically near the middle of the listed range. Compensation is based on experience, skills, certifications, and organizational needs. Our total rewards include an annual incentive bonus, 401(k) with employer match, PTO, and comprehensive health benefits and wellness programs.
