What You'll Do:

  • Innovate and Prototype: Lead the design and development of pioneering solutions in computer vision and machine learning, from concept to prototype.
  • Research Excellence: Apply and extend state-of-the-art methodologies, quickly implementing insights from leading research papers into actionable models.
  • End-to-End Data Science: Own full-stack data science responsibilities—data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, production deployment, monitoring, and iterative retraining.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work independently within a highly collaborative small team, clearly communicating ideas and solutions cross-functionally.
  • Infrastructure and Automation: Create, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, leveraging Azure ML infrastructure for scalable model training and deployment.

What You'll Bring:

Essential Qualifications:

  • PhD in ML, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in computer vision and deep learning.
  • Expert-level Python proficiency (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.) and strong SQL skills.
  • Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX).
  • Solid understanding of classical machine learning methods (SVM, clustering, boosting).
  • Demonstrated ability to independently implement and adapt complex ML research papers.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automated model retraining processes.
  • Must live within commuting distance to a Behaviorally office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of published research in premier conferences (CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, ICML, NeurIPS, SIGGRAPH).
  • Experience with RLHF, iterative retraining approaches, and drift detection.
  • Familiarity with diffusion models, transfer learning, and multi-modal data (text, image, tabular).
  • Experience working with terabyte-scale datasets and training large-scale models (100M-1B+ parameters) on multi-GPU setups.
  • Familiarity with Azure ML and LLM integration for advanced data pipelines.
