Senior Data Scientist - Shipt : Job Details

ImpactAs a Senior Data Scientist, you'll spearhead the development of machine learning models to evaluate and optimize geolocation-based features, and contribute directly to the efficiency and growth of Shipt.You will design and implement frameworks for analyzing changes in delivery and logistics, enhancing customer experiences, and optimizing our platform's geo-location capabilities. Your expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and coding (Python) will be instrumental in solving complex problems and enhancing our community's engagement with geo-location features. What You ll Need to Be Successful

• Experience collaborating on supply chain, delivery, or geospatial analysis projects

• Master s or Ph.D. degree in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Computer Science, or other related quantitative fields.

• 2+ years of working experience with statistical inference, A/B tests, causal inference, experimentation, and/or predictive modeling

• Proficiency in geospatial data analysis packages (e.g., Geopandas).

• Machine learning knowledge (Supervised learning models).

• SQL skills (e.g. Spark, Snowflake, Postgres, Hive, Redshift, etc)

• 3+ years of experience in programming skills in Python (e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, pytorch, TensorFlow, or other data science packages).

• Familiarity with machine learning and engineering tools (Airflow, Spark, MLflow, Kubernetes, Github, etc.).

Work Arrangement:

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis.
