We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer

Total Compensation: $300,000-$375,000, including a fixed annual salary of $200,000 - $250,000, equity grants, and comprehensive benefits. Equity is granted subject to company policies, approval, and eligibility.

As a Senior Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer on the Identity team, you will lead initiatives to develop and enhance our identity solutions. Your responsibilities include data-driven strategy formulation, complex analysis for entity resolution, and cross-functional collaboration to improve the quality, scalability, and effectiveness of our identity systems.

• Lead advanced analyses using statistical and machine learning techniques on large identity datasets to improve solutions and drive strategic projects.
• Identify and pursue high-impact opportunities for innovation in identity-related data science projects.
• Design and conduct experiments to assess model relevancy and performance.
• Establish key metrics for monitoring identity system health and performance; develop data pipelines to support model deployment and large-scale data processing.
• Proactively analyze and automate improvements in entity resolution, including areas like geography, linkage, fraud detection, and risk management.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to evolve the identity graph strategy.
• Lead projects from conception to completion, mentor junior staff, and align efforts with business goals.

About You:

• 6+ years of industry experience as a Data Scientist, or 3+ years with a PhD, with significant work in identity, fraud, or security data.
• Master's degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Machine Learning, or related fields.
• Proven project leadership, mentorship, and ability to solve ambiguous technical and business problems.
• Strong knowledge of online A/B testing and experimentation methodologies.
• Proficiency in Python 3 (with data science libraries) and SQL; experience with Spark and Kubeflow is preferred.
• Familiarity with prompts for AI and using AI to enhance productivity.
• Experience with identity-focused data science projects (e.g., authentication, fraud, user verification, KYC).
• Strong analytical and modeling skills linked to business outcomes.
• Experience with visualization tools like matplotlib, seaborn, Tableau, and Python visualization libraries.
• Proficiency with Python data science libraries such as pandas, numpy, scipy.
• Experience with relational databases like Postgres, MySQL, or SQL Server.
