If you're a seasoned cybersecurity expert, we want you to help enhance our cybersecurity operations, perform comprehensive system hardening, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with DoD requirements.

This role is essential for anyone looking to make a significant impact in the realm of cybersecurity within DoD networks. Collaborate with diverse teams including Blue Team and Red Team professionals to enhance our cyber defense strategies.

Clearance Requirement: An ACTIVE Secret clearance is mandatory for this position. Applicants will undergo a security investigation and must fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required for clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages for various systems.
  • Create and maintain vital security documentation, including System Security Plans and Continuous Monitoring Plans.
  • Conduct annual FISMA assessments and oversee the Continuous Monitoring of authorized systems.
  • Utilize the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) for system testing and implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
  • Analyze test results and document findings accordingly in the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of computer security and DoD cybersecurity policies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Possession of one DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III certification: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ten years of experience in computer security and DoD regulations.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and cybersecurity defense techniques.
  • Familiarity with STIG implementation and vulnerability assessments using ACAS.
  • Ability to remediate vulnerabilities on both Linux and Windows systems.

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering is required.

Compensation: The projected annual salary for this role ranges from $90,000 to $160,000 based on experience and qualifications.
