Reporting to our Controller, the Senior Cost Accountant is a key member of the Accounting and Finance team and will be responsible for various day-to-day accounting activities while also participating in projects that help drive the growth of the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : • Analyze manufacturing costs, labor, and inventory valuation; prepare cost reports for management. • Maintain and update standard costs in the ERP system. • Maintain and improve cost accounting procedures and internal controls. • Perform monthly close activities related to inventory and cost accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost tracking and efficiency. • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies. • Lead or support cost accounting projects such as system upgrades, cost model enhancements, or process improvements. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field desired, or equivalent qualification or a combination of job-related education • Minimum of 3 years of experience and thorough understanding of accounting and finance preferred • CPA, CMA, or MBA (preferred). • The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in manufacturing or production environments. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including excellent Excel skills • Ability to work autonomously and manage time well • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals, results-oriented and self-driven • Ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders. • Highly organized and effective in managing multiple priorities and deadlines • Effective negotiation, and problem-solving skills
