Our client, a prestigious professional services firm based in Midtown Manhattan, is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join their team.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of contracts, drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing agreements across a broad portfolio, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Serve as the main liaison for clients and third parties, cultivating strong relationships, proactively addressing concerns, and fostering lasting partnerships.
  • Lead client-facing negotiations and discussions during contract development to ensure alignment with client goals and organizational standards.
  • Partner with internal legal teams to streamline workflows, resolve issues, and manage contracts efficiently.
  • Simplify and communicate complex contract terms for non-legal stakeholders, highlighting risks, obligations, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Reporting, Operations, and Legal to ensure smooth information flow and shared accountability.
  • Refine and review contract language before approvals, maintaining precision and adherence to policy.
  • Leverage contract management systems (such as Conga CLM) to create, update, and track agreements with accuracy.
  • Draft and prepare documentation and correspondence with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Track deadlines and deliverables, providing proactive status updates to both managers and clients.
  • Coordinate with accounts payable, reconciling invoices against contracts and ensuring smooth financial alignment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and strengthen client service.
  • Support special projects and broader firm initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • 6–10+ years of contract management experience (professional services, procurement, or legal environment preferred).
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior-level clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat; experience with contract management systems (Conga, Juro, ContractWorks, PandaDoc, etc.) a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Professional, flexible, and resourceful, with the ability to thrive under pressure.
