About The Job

The Red Hat Telco Services Consulting team is seeking a Senior Consultant to join us remotely in North America. In this role, you will earn the trust and confidence of customers' engineering, development, and operations teams through in-person and remote interactions by aligning their requirements and use cases to the functional capabilities of our solutions. You'll play a critical role in bringing together cross-functional teams from Red Hat's product, support, professional services, and sales teams to meet demanding customer needs. As a Senior Consultant, you will serve as a customer advocate, delivering solutions and ensuring their reliable implementation and support.

This position requires regular on-site work with clients across North America, so a willingness to travel to customer locations is required. Applicants must reside within close proximity to a primary airport.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with project and customer teams to meet timelines and goals
• Contribute to project documentation, diagrams, quality assurance, and ticket management
• Mentor and share knowledge with customers
• Work with delivery teams and telecommunications clients to understand industry-specific needs, guiding automation and DevOps adoption to improve the cloud lifecycle
• Analyze client requirements and translate them into technology implementations aligning with business goals
• Lead delivery activities, ensuring system and technology integration to meet client needs
• Implement solutions using cloud technologies, automation, and orchestration

What You Will Bring

• 5-8 years in related technology roles
• 4+ years with Public Cloud and Linux technologies
• 4+ years with telecommunications technologies and networking infrastructure
• 2+ years with automation frameworks like Puppet, Chef, Salt, or Red Hat Ansible
• 2+ years with Red Hat OpenShift, ACM, ACS, Quay, Ceph, or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of NFV, network acceleration, ZTP, SDN, and DevOps models
• Experience with storage systems like FiberChannel, iSCSI, NFS, or other SDS technologies
• Extensive experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Virtualization experience with KVM, QEMU, OpenStack, OpenShift Virtualization, VMware
• Experience with AppDev automation tools like Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD
• Networking experience including VLANs, routing, 4/5G, IPAM, Load Balancers
• Experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure
• Interest in AI/ML technologies
• Familiarity with vSphere, RHV, Nutanix, OpenStack
• Experience with VMware infrastructure components
• Knowledge of third-party tools like Aria/vRealize, SRM, Backup software
• Experience with cloud providers like AWS and Azure is a plus
• Experience in the Telecommunications Industry

The salary range is $116,270 - $191,840, based on qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Compensation is based on location, experience, skills, and market factors. The position may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or equity.
