Role Profile

We are currently seeking a Data & Analytics Senior Consultant to become a member of Neudesic's National Data and AI Practice.We're looking for candidates who have been working with data from various platforms. Candidates should have a solid understanding of Data Warehouse architectures and key concepts and working hands-on gathering requirements, assisting with design, data transformation, development, testing and implementation. Delivering solutions for customers in a consultant / contract capacity is a plus as we work in a fast-paced environment.

Technically, the ideal candidate has a strong background with the Microsoft BI Stack (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) as these have been the foundational tools we've used for 15 years. In addition, the candidate should also have some hands-on experience working with the Azure platform and primarily: Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Warehouse / Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks and Azure Analysis Services.

From a business perspective, we look for candidates who can engage our customers to understand requirements and become thought leaders on how we should apply technology solutions to solve business problems. Building effective customer relationships must happen at every level for us to be successful.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 6 –10 years of overall experience in data and analytics roles.
  • At least 1 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric in a client delivery or consulting role.
  • Proven experience in Azure Data Services including Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, and Power BI.
  • Strong client engagement skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience in leading data platform modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a team, you'll be responsible for working in various areas of an implementation. We're looking for candidates who can not only complete the task at hand, but for those who can bring thought leadership and their own past experience to the work as well.
  • Leverage Neudesic's Intellectual Property on implementations and become a thought leader on how we can continue to improve our capabilities resulting in efficient and consistent delivery for our customers.
  • Learn the customer's business and be proactive about how we can further their success with the solutions we deliver.
  • Build relationships with your team and the customer to create a healthy work environment.
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Fabric solutions for enterprise clients.
  • Design and develop robust data architectures leveraging OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, and Direct Lake modes.
  • Integrate Fabric with Azure-native services such as Data Factory, Synapse, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to define KPIs, reporting needs, and analytical use cases.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members across data modeling, transformation, and visualization.
  • Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Support pre-sales efforts including client presentations, proposal development, and solutioning.

  • Delta Lake, medallion architecture
  • CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
  • Data Governance & Security:
  • Microsoft Purview or other governance tools
  • Role-based access control and data lineage
  • On Premise: SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Fewer implementations today, but experienced candidates have a solid foundation in the Microsoft BI stack.

Technology Plus

  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate (Highly Preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Nice to have)
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate/Professional (Nice to have)
  • Experience with Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence

For New Jersey, the expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $160,000. The salary range may be different if the successful employee is in a different state. This position is also eligible for performance bonuses. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
