The Commerce Strategy team is within the North American Consulting division, and focuses on the application of research, analytics and critical thinking to key decisions about Retail, Shoppers and Marketplace activities.
Purpose
You will be working very closely with a team of experienced client partners and seasoned research and analytics experts within the Consulting group's custom strategies team, to help Clients identify and capture purpose-led growth opportunities. Senior Consultants are expected to combine both “right” and “left” brain skills across engagements along with a high degree of independence, to own Client deliverables and elevate organizational thinking. Senior Consultants play an integral role in supporting all aspects of Client engagements by leading data analysis, manipulating/synthesizing various data sets, translating data into insight, creating Client presentations, and working with partners and clients to prepare for workshops.
While our Clients span a range of different industries, we work most closely with regional and global Retailers, Technology Companies and Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturers, and, as a Senior Consultant, you would benefit from an existing understanding of these sectors, while developing further depth within them. This role provides the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of multiple industries and product categories with small and large data sets. Furthermore, you will develop a practical, actionable business analysis expertise that only a data-driven consultancy can provide.

Skills & experience needed
A Bachelor's Degree or greater. Analytically rigorous fields such as business, economics, finance, mathematics, computer science, or engineering would be an added advantage.
3+ years of prior experience working in the fields of Consulting, Analytics, Shopper/Consumer Research, CPG/Retail, Sales, and/or Marketing
Have demonstrated the use of data to solve problems and bring business ideas to life.
Strong communication that can convey complex ideas to business stakeholders in clear ways to drive action
Have demonstrated the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
The ability to engage independently and confidently with senior stakeholders in all Client engagements over time.
2+ years of strong quantitative and analytical skills and experience working with analytical software and/or data querying tools such as SQL, R, SPSS, etc would be a highly added advantage.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Suite (Slides, Sheets)

The salary range for this role in Chicago is $85900 – $143,100. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
