School Health Assists with new school health employee orientation utilizing established training materials as assigned; acts as preceptor for students from local schools of nursing assigned to affiliate with the Health Department in the School Health Services Program. Maintains CPR/ First Aid certification as required. Nursing Mentorship Assist DON in the implementation of nursing practice at DOH Manatee. Serves on committees and attends meetings related to matters of concern as required. Attends and participates in staff development such as staff meetings and in-service/continuing education. Participates with other staff in developing solutions to operational problems. Assists in the coordination of activities with other entities within department and community agencies. Participates in the mentoring of staff and students; Identifies, plans, and develops resources to augment program operations; provides technical assistance and serves as the liaison with community organizations.
