About the Role

A privately held real estate investment and management firm is seeking an accomplished professional to lead leasing strategy, tenant relations, and retail property operations across a diverse portfolio. This role blends commercial leasing expertise with hands-on operational leadership, ensuring properties deliver best-in-class service, performance, and tenant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead new and renewal lease negotiations while cultivating strong broker and tenant relationships.
  • Drive marketing efforts to attract prospective tenants and enhance asset visibility.
  • Oversee tenant onboarding, from lease execution through design, buildout, and opening.
  • Manage tenant relations, addressing inquiries and operational issues with responsiveness and diplomacy.
  • Conduct regular property inspections, ensuring compliance with lease terms, regulatory standards, and brand presentation.
  • Partner with internal teams (leasing, construction, property management, and marketing) to support tenant success.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, including leasing assumptions, tenant improvements, capital planning, and operating expenses.
  • Oversee tenant improvement projects, negotiate vendor/contractor agreements, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
  • Analyze tenant performance, sales metrics, market rents, and competitive positioning to inform strategic planning.
  • Support asset value creation through operational excellence, sustainability initiatives, and retail experience programming.
  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
    • 7–10+ years of experience in commercial leasing, retail operations, and property management.
    • Strong track record of negotiating leases and managing retail tenant relations.
    • Experience with construction oversight, vendor management, and compliance requirements.
    • Exceptional communication, relationship management, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
