Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with AWS Expertise - Maximus : Job Details

Maximus is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with a strong focus on AWS and Kubernetes. In this role, you will design and manage robust Kubernetes environments on AWS, ensuring optimal performance and seamless application deployment. Your expertise will be critical in streamlining application management for Department of Defense (DoD) projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage Kubernetes environments on AWS for containerized applications.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code along with security and DevOps practices for AWS resources.
• Integrate CI/CD processes to enhance application lifecycle management.
• Optimize system performance, troubleshoot networking issues, and maintain robust system security.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in AWS and DevOps engineering, particularly with Kubernetes.
• Proven experience in system administration related to workloads on AWS systems and Amazon EKS, supporting development and testing teams.
• 5+ years of experience with containerized platforms.
• Strong scripting skills and experience in CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
• IAT Level II certification.
• Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training, along with at least two of the following certifications (3 years of relevant experience may substitute for each certification):

Preferred Skills:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• AWS SysOps Administrator certification or training.
• AWS DevOps Engineer certification or training.
