Overview of Position

Osborn Engineering is seeking a senior-level Civil Engineer with 10-15 years of experience in planning, design, development, and construction phases of various projects. Senior Civil Engineers report directly to the Director of Civil Engineering and collaborate closely with directors, managers, and staff to exceed client expectations.

Position Responsibilities

• Understand client needs and develop a Scope of Services accordingly.
• Prepare contract proposals and manage project budgets.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Manage, design, and develop projects of varying complexity.
• Present project details to clients and staff.
• Monitor project progress and compile status reports.
• Resolve problems and deficiencies creatively.
• Track budgets, control costs, and prepare reports.
• Oversee shop drawing reviews and construction observation.
• Mentor staff and foster a positive work environment.
• Lead efforts of engineers, designers, and CAD drafters.

Main responsibilities include client management, civil project management, design, and planning. Growth in design and leadership skills, dependability, and organization will support career advancement.

Projects include master planning, utility and roadway improvements, stormwater management, grading, site development, subdivisions, campus improvements, coastal engineering, and sports fields. Ability to work independently and collaboratively is essential.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• PE License (preferred).
• 10-15 years of design experience.
• Experience with analysis software (sewer, water, stormwater).
• Expertise in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Civil3D, Map3D, GIS, and BIM (a plus).
• Ability to coordinate within a multidisciplinary team with minimal oversight.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong communication skills.
