YOU will work within a team of planning professionals to develop comprehensive plans, ordinances, and programs to provide for future growth, utilization, and revitalization of land and physical facilities of the city. You will evaluate land use and development proposals and implement planning policies which support adopted City goals and objectives.
Responsibilities include:
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in environmental science, urban or regional planning, landscape architecture, public administration, social science, or related fields. A master's degree is preferred. A minimum of three years of experience at the City Planner level, with knowledge of GIS preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and pass a criminal background check.
This is a senior-level, self-directed team position, with potential for working beyond standard hours and some local travel. It is an exempt position.
