Berkley Offshore Underwriting Managers is seeking a Senior Cargo Undewriter to join their team. This role is located in their mid-town Manhattan office on a hybrid basis. The Senior Cargo Underwriter is responsible for generating and underwriting profitable new and renewal business in the ocean cargo, freight forwarder, and logistics sectors. This role ensures underwriting decisions align with company guidelines and profitability targets, while fostering strong relationships with brokers and clients to support long-term business growth. Underwrite new and renewal submissions of assigned accounts in accordance with Berkley Offshore Underwriting standards and authority. Correspond with brokers to gather information needed to evaluate risk characteristics, financials, loss experience, etc. to determine appropriate pricing, terms, and conditions.
