Senior Calibration Support Engineer (Marion VA) - General Dynamics Mission Systems : Job Details

Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (2 years job-related experience) or a Master's degree and 0 years of experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

We apply advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native, and Quantum Physics to solve our customers' missions in cyber, RF, undersea, interstellar, and other domains.

What you'll be doing:

Managing equipment calibration and repair services for several GDMS sites and various measurement equipment (mechanical, electrical, RF, etc.). Collaborating with equipment custodians in Manufacturing, QA, and Engineering, along with Supply Chain and calibration providers to ensure calibrations are completed on time and meet standards. Maintaining calibration databases and systems, analyzing calibration data to verify compliance, identifying issues or trends, and implementing solutions. Supporting internal and external audits as the calibration site representative.

Participating in calibration team activities, supporting calibration processes, performance, and improvements.

This position is based out of Marion, VA, supporting multiple GDMS sites. Occasional travel may be required.

Target salary range: USD $75,178.00/Yr. - USD $80,411.00/Yr. This range is based on experience and other factors such as geographic location. The actual pay may vary. This job posting remains open until the position is filled.
